Boat solution for the Gay Games?
The Lubecker Yacht Club's annual "Ice Ass" regatta in Germany was run in fleet of 100 Optimist dinghies - small one-person dinghies usually used as a child's training boat !
The entry fee is based on sailor weight (25 DM per kg) and the refreshments were pea-soup and beer to help with the sub-zero temperatures - could be useful for a Montreal practice race in the spring!
Seriously though, we're still looking for a source of boats so anyone with contacts in Canada or ideas would be very welcome.
